<section><div><span>The Free Press is launching new video podcast shows to serve our subscribers. We are looking for a news junkie with a sense of humor to produce these daily and weekly products. This is not a remote position, and would require working from our New York office.</span></div> <div><br></div> <div><span>This position could be contract, part-time or full-time.</span></div></section><section><h3>Requirements</h3> <ul> <li>At least five years working as an audio/video producer in a news environment </li> <li>A background that demonstrates you have worked on tight deadlines and can create content that is both excellent and fast </li> <li>Examples of your work that shows confident editorial judgment, booking prowess, and the ability to write tight, sensemaking copy </li> <li>A passion for The Free Press: you’ve read our stories, you understand our mission, and you know how you can bring value to our team. Eagerness to work in a start-up environment. Our team is composed of people who are enthusiastic, nimble, and collaborative. </li> </ul></section><section><h3>Bonus</h3> <ul> <li><span>Basic experience using cameras and gear </span></li> <li>Experience editing video in Premiere </li> <li>Experience with live video production, gear, and software</li> <li>Experience recording tape, operating a remote studio, and cutting tape on DAWs (ProTools, Adobe etc) AND/OR experience managing production and post-production crews</li> </ul></section><section></section>
