Serving as the face of downtown, your role will not only be to promote safety, but also to deter, observe, and report safety concerns. This position is a critical component to ensuring a vibrant and welcoming downtown environment.</p> <p><em>Additional information: </em></p> <ul> <li>This position is expected to spend time outdoors during all weather conditions on foot and also use of a bicycle as appropriate.</li> <li>This role is an unarmed position.</li> <li>Must be available to perform in at least one of two 10-hour shifts from 0600-Midnight. </li> </ul> <p><strong>About the Job</strong></p> <ul> <li>Be a uniformed, visible, dependable, and positive customer service representative of downtown Denver</li> <li>Utilize iPhone app technology (provided by DDP) for time reporting, incident reporting, and communication</li> <li>Patrol the public and permitted areas of the Business Improvement District</li> <li>Interact with patrons and visitors and provide wayfinding information </li> <li>Communicate with, and provide compassionate outreach to vulnerable populations working alongside Outreach Case Workers</li> <li>Educate community on City ordinances and establish voluntary compliance</li> <li>Act as a liaison between businesses and the Business Improvement District to support safety efforts</li> <li>Work closely with law enforcement, security stakeholders, and business representatives Maintain high level of professionalism and present neat and well-kept appearance during all contacts throughout the shift</li> </ul> <p><strong>About You</strong></p> <ul> <li>A minimum education level of High School diploma or GED required</li> <li>At least one year of security related experience required</li> <li>At least one year of customer service experience required </li> <li>Required current certification in: CPR/AED/Stop the Bleed; de-escalation; trauma informed care; and anti-bias training.</li> <li>Required to be certified and licensed with the City of Denver to be a security guard</li> <li>Demonstrates the ability to communicate effectively in English in both written and spoken form</li> <li>Experienced in conflict resolution, de-escalation, and customer service.</li> <li>Is a dedicated problem solver</li> <li>Available to perform in at least one of two shifts from 0600-Midnight</li> </ul> <p><strong>What We Offer </strong></p> <ul> <li>Expected hourly rate is $24 - $26</li> <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance </li> <li>Paid Time Off </li> <li>Paid Holidays </li> <li>Employer paid Life Insurance, Short-Term and Long-Term Disability </li> <li>401(k) Retirement Plan </li> <li>Transportation Benefits </li> <li>Personal and Professional Development </li> </ul> <p>Downtown Denver Partnership provides equal employment opportunities (EEO) to all employees and applicants for employment without regard to race, color, religion, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, genetics, veteran status, or other legally protected characteristics.
